A collection of productive prefabs for rapidly building spatial computing solutions in the Unity software. The VRTK Prefabs have not yet been released fully are still in a beta phase meaning there may still be undiscovered bugs, missing features and a lack of usable documentation.

All of these things are being worked on but progress is slow as there is only one person actively working on these VRTK Prefabs in their spare time so please be patient and respectful. You are free to use the VRTK Prefabs in any way you wish, but if you feel you will struggle figuring stuff out for yourself without detailed documentation then it may be better off if you wait until the full release of the VRTK Prefabs.

The prefabs contained in this repository will eventually be separated out into their own repositories and packages. The VRTK Prefabs aim to make building spatial computing solutions in the Unity software fast and easy for beginners as well as experienced developers.

Virtual reality is a relatively new medium so no one really understands what truly works or what doesn't work in terms of solutions, so VRTK aims to bring a community of diverse people from all across the world together to work on solving these problems and to rapidly evolve the way in how VR is catered for.

VRTK is released under the MIT License and therefore is completely free for anyone to use whether it's for personal or commercial products as this is the best way to make sure we're all building for a better future in virtual reality. You can even fork the repo, make changes, new features and contribute back. Full of tutorials, written documentation and lower level developer API documentation. The heart of the VRTK community is the slack channel.

Full of helpful people from all over the world chatting about all aspects of VR development and how to best use VRTK to build stuff easier and quicker. This is the first port of call if you get stuck on anything. If video tutorials are more your thing, then the VRTK YouTube channel is packed full of helpful guides on how to create a wide variety of VR related goodness.

There are also regular livestreams where the community can get questions answered from the VRTK team. A place to seek help with any issue you may have or look up existing answers to common problems. It's a great place to look for support that is long lasting rather than the fast pace of the Slack channel.
